Electricity

Uddevalla Energi Elnät AB has the sole right to build and run an electricity network within our district. The Energy Markets Inspectorate issue the permits and also supervises prices and the quality.

The electricity market on the other hand is deregulated and the consumer is free to choose among the different suppliers. Uddevalla Energi does, however, not supply energy to the end consumer.  The electricity produced from hydropower plants and at the plant Lillesjöverket is sold to contracted electricity suppliers.
